The default installation instructions for CubeCart state that you should install it in a directory such as /store. This is fine if you already have a main website and your store really is an extension to that but for most people that isn't the case at all.

Its a known fact that redirecting your domain to a directory isn't good for SEO and SEO is probably the most important factor for any new website. So lets say your domain is www.MyNewWebsite.com but you've installed CubeCart into www.MyNewWebsite.com/store then you've got to redirect your website so that when anyone visits www.MyNewWebsite.com gets redirected to www.MyNewWebsite.com/store. Search Engines don't like this and it will hurt your all important Search Engine positon.

Moving your store from www.MyNewWebsite.com/store to www.MyNewWebsite.com isn't really that hard but unless you are experienced in server management then it can be a nightmare with errors popping up all over your website.

  We will provide installation on a virgin copy of your CubeCart version. If you have custom modifications installed please open a Support Ticket to obtain a quotation to ensure your mods are not lost.
  Once you have completed checkout please open a Support Ticket so that we can complete the installation process.
• Developer License:
  On a number of our products you will see the option to purchase a Developer License. This license permits you to unlimited installations of the product purchased for yourself and your clients.
• Copyright Removal:
  All of our Skins, Templates & Themes come with our copyright noticed attached. This usually states, "Design by CubeCartSkins.net" or "Template by CubeCartSkins.net" or "Skinned by CubeCartSkins.net". We have this copyright notice simply because it allows us to keep our prices at an absolute minimum. By purchasing Copyright Removal it permits you to legally remove our design notice. Please see our Licensing Conditions for more information.
